Eyes Like Those by Melissa Brayden

Surf, good coffee, Californian sun, cute pets, and a touch of Hollywood glamour. What’s not to like on a cold November’s evening?

Woman A is an aspiring screen writer with anxiety issues and woman B is a successful hotshot screen writer with working too hard issues. Woman A works for Woman B. Woman B’s ex is a hotshot actress on the tv series, so adds some flies to the ointment. Woman A’s panic attacks and self doubts add even more.

Good fun, and in true Melissa Brayden style we’re introduced to a range of single lesbian friends with personalities who can make appearances in later books if so required.

Riddled with ‘as if!’ plot holes, but escapist fun nonetheless.
